Match Report

Cheddar travelled to Keynsham eager to keep up their recent good form and having already securedĀ  a 4-0 win earlier in the season but they were disappointed to come away with a 2-0 defeat despite dominating the match. Unavailability left Cheddar with the bare 11 and fielding their youngest forward lineup average age 15 but everyone was up for the task in hand.Keynsham were under the cosh from the start but then with their first attack of the game took the early lead. Despite this early setback Cheddar continued to press with great moves between Lauren Frost Lois Tarr and Lotte Perry well supported by the midfield of Lauren Civil Holt, Sarah Hind Zoe Humber and Sophie Warren. Chances came and went with Keynsham holding out until half time. The second half was much the same - Cheddars defence in control and setting up attack after attack but being denied any room in the D- their short corner routines were not working and with time running out Keynsham broke down the right. The resulting cross was saved by Julie Rogers but Keynsham wer quicker to put the rebound into the net and hold out for an unexpected win. Cheddars player of the match was awarded to Lotte Perry for her tireless work throughout
