Cheddars recent run of wins came to an abrupt end when North Somerset inflicted a 6-1 defeat . The opposition were quick off the mark and were rewarded with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes as Cheddar struggled to pick up the surging runs and clear their lines. However they pulled a goal back when a free hit by Lauren Civil- Holt found Kirstie Sugg whose reverse shot beat the GK. This lifted the home team and a short corner routine nearly drew them level. North Somerset then upped the tempo and and saw 2 shots well blocked flying over the cross bar- the resultant long corner move was well worked with Rachel Rousell being called upon to make several magnificent saves before the ball was eventuall squeezed over the line for a 3-1 half time scoreline. After the break North Somerset again dominated play and fired in shots at every opportunity. A 4th goal came from a short corner which flew high into the corner and some excellent team work saw 2 further goals added. Cheddar vote for Player of match went to Megan Jones North Somerset consolidated their 2nd place as Cheddar dropped to 4th . Next week Cheddar are away to Jaspers and will be keen to put this defeat behind them
