In past seasons the fixture between Cheddar and Keynsham has always been a close affair and with the teams currently equal on points Cheddar were keen to capitalise on their recent good form and come away with all 3 points. Keynsham started out the more positive side and for 10 minutes kept Cheddar in their own half. Once they got into their stride Cheddar earned a short corner - Millie Warren out to Kirstie Sugg who blasted the ball beyong the gk. Getting an early goal was just what was needed and it wasnt long before a second came. Harriet Gittings winning the ball in defence to set up Sophie Warren down the right wing - her pass found Sugg who found the target. Keynsham did well to prevent further goals thanks to some tremendous saves from their gk . Cheddars defence of Gittings, Zoe Humber and Sally Gorman led by captain Emily Bear made sure they went into the break with a clean sheet. After the interval Cheddar continued in the same mode with the midfield of Lauren Civil-Holt, Sarah Hind, Megan Jones and Millie Warren dominating - Keynsham were struggling to keep up with Cheddar's attacking 3 of Sugg, S Warren and Lotte Perry the latter then getting on the score sheet by nipping in on a Sugg cross. Further shots were beaten away by Keynshams gk and a goal line clearance prevented a 4th. Cheddars gk Rachel Rousell was not to be outdone with some fine saves and given a helping hand with Emily Bear making a spectacular overhead clearance. Still Cheddar mounted more attacks and after some fine interplay between M Warren and Hind , Sugg scored a well deserved hattrick with a reverse shot. This was their best result against Keynsham and was a great all round team performance. Player of the match was Lotte Perry
