Cheddar 1 Vs Keynsham 1sts

Cheddar were disappointed to drop 2 points in their fixture against Keynsham but on the balance of play a draw was a fair result. Keynsham took an early lead when a goal bound shot hit a defenders foot on the line and the flick was duly converted. Cheddar responded well with 2 near misses from Kirstie Sugg and then a great run by Immy Disbury down the left flank saw Sugg latch onto the pass and convert from a narrow angle to level the scores. After the break Cheddar took the lead - Dani Frost's pass was well picked up by Sugg who in turn found Millie Norman and a crisp shot beat the advancing gk. Beth Gould and Mads Street were defending strongly and gk Rachel Rousell was saving well until a shot rebounded in front of goal and was scrambled over the line. Keynsham upped the pace and nearly scored again but for Rousell and Street  and then Street set up Cheddar's 3rd with her free hit finding Sugg. Her speed helped her pass the defence and shoot beyond the gk. Millie Norman then came close twice but Keysham's gk did well to keep her out. The final goal came 5 minutes from time with a well struck shot from a short corner sent Cheddar's gk the wrong way
