Cheddar 1st     4     Bristol UWE 3rds     0

Cheddar were keen to get back to winning ways after their defeat to League leaders Knowle last week. In the first 5 minutes Kirstie Sugg hit the post and Millie Warren narrowly missed converting at a short corner. Play was scrappy and despite creating numerous chances Cheddar could not find their way past a stand in goalkeeper. Eventually they were rewarded with Kirstie Sugg weaving her way past the opposition and slipping a pass to Sophie Warren- her shot was blocked only for Sugg to put in the rebound. This seemed to spur on the visitors who began to string some attacks together but then a save by Rachel Rousell and clearance by captain Beth Higginbottom to Sugg who ran 50 metres to put Cheddar 2-0 up at half time. UWE started the second half the stronger but shots were easily saved. Millie Warren was having a good game on the right and Immy Disbury likewise on the left but generally passes were going astray as Cheddar were making hard work of what on paper was an easier game. Then up stepped Sugg again to run from deep in her own half to complete her hat trick and then set up Julie Callow for Cheddars 4th. Sugg was awarded player of the match for her attacking display
