Cheddar 2nds were keen to build on last weeks success when they hosted Redland UWE. Their opposition were 2 players short so the chance was there to put on a good display.They got off to a great start with Vikki Elliott netting 2 goals in the first 10 minutes- one from a penalty corner and one ending some neat play from Jess Frost and Lois Tarr. Jo White was causing havoc down the right putting in strong tackles and searing runs linking up with Elliott to put Millie Stoyles on the score sheet.  Redland defended in numbers but were unable to prevent a 4th goal before half time- a Vikki Elliott mazy run to set up Lois Tarr with her first Cheddar goal .Tina Stoyles was working hard in midfield  and with the extra players Cheddar were able to move the ball around but failed to dominate in front of goal. A tactical change saw player of the match Lois Tarr move to the right  and debutant Lauren Frost as centre forward . Tarr set up a goal for  Frost and then with confidence growing Lauren Frost went on a solo run to score her 2nd. Redland refused to give up and hit back to earn some penalty corners but the strong defence of  GK Julie Rogers, Sally Dempsey, Susan Taylor Penny Cornish and Jess Frost kept their clean sheet.At the other end Redland were performing heroics with many goal line clearances before Elliott bagged another brace
