Match Report | An evenly matched game, Cheddar had a slow start with Old Bristolians scoring first, but this was enough to wake Cheddar up and centre forward Dani Frost tapped in their first goal. Good defending from backs Susan Taylor, Penny Cornish and Sally Dempsey along with goal keeper Carol Hooper kept the opposition at bay. Cheddars' young forward, Millie Norman, broke through from midfield passing to Millie Stoyles who slipped in the next goal, finishing the first half 1 - 2 to Cheddar. Second half Cheddar lost a player due to injury but all players rose to the challenge with good marking from midfielders Anna Athay, Tina Stoyles, Nicky and Issy Baines holding the ball with forwards Millie Norman and Millie Stoyles driving forward resulting in two more goals from Norman (player of the match). An all round good performance from Cheddar. |
