Cheddar started on top after quickly gaining possession from Mads Street, who found her way to Kirstie Sugg on the back line, Sugg then drove the ball to the penalty spot where Bec Teagle took the first shot of the game to give Cheddar their first goal. More pressure was applied from Cheddars forward line which gained us 3 more goals from Kirstie Sugg and Dani Frost. Unfortunately when our backs were turned Mendip grabbed their first goal from a short corner which finished the first half at 4-1. A rapid start from Cheddar with Beth Gould saving a goal in mid air with Rach Rousell supporting behind. Emily and Vicki Bear took on Mendip keeping procession to then reach Sarah Hind, Zoe Humber and Siobhan Mullan, playing the ball swiftly around Mendip and dodging their every move. Kirstie Sugg coming in once more to provide another assist to Bec Teagle to score the last goal of the game and getting their 5-1 finish. |
